Bolsters mills Village
In 2020 we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to leave the city and move back to Maine. We struggled in a ridiculous housing market for several months before finding a wonderful old farmhouse which was initially constructed in 1847. Connected to the house is a barn whose timbers are likely even older than the house but in fantastic condition. The floor, on the other hand, was barely able to support the weight of one person. Still, we couldn't help but imagine this barn becoming the location of a fitness studio that is uniquely ours, and uniquely Maine.
A little over a year later and the studio is functionally complete! Thanks to the tutelage and help of my stepdad, the electrician and carpenter, we have managed to put together a beautiful four-season space and I am ecstatic to open it up to the community! It will feature approximately 400 sqft of space for weightlifting and a roughly 12' tall, 40' long rock climbing wall of various continuous inclines for bouldering. The climbing space isn't quite finished, but the entire project should be nearing completion toward the end of summer 2022.
